Why our Made to Order collection takes 6 weeks to make

Each piece of jewellery in our made to order collection has a lead time of 6 weeks. This is because when you place your order, your jewellery does not yet exist and it must be handmade specially for you. This takes time.

Ellie uses the ancient technique of lost wax casting to create each piece and works with a local casting company where skilled artisans turn her creations from wax into silver and gold.

Unlike fast fashion jewellery, which is mass produced in factories using cheap and potentially hazardous materials and created by unfairly compensated workers, our jewellery is ethically and sustainably produced in the UK.

What ring sizes are available in your made to order collection?

Our made to order collection rings are available in any ring size. If your ring size is not available at checkout, please enter it in the notes section.

Why do made to order pieces take up to 6 weeks to make?

When you purchase a piece of jewellery from our made to order collection it does not yet exist and has to be made specially for you. As a one woman show, Ellie requires a lead time of 6 weeks to make your piece. If you require your order sooner than this, please put a note at checkout and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.

Is your jewellery sustainable?

All of our jewellery is handmade by Ellie in the UK. We work with a local casting company in Birmingham who employ skilled artisans to cast our jewellery from handmade wax models into solid recycled silver and gold. 

Are your gemstones ethically sourced?

The gemstone industry is currently unregulated so full assurance cannot be given on how our gemstones have been mined. However, the UK suppliers we buy our gemstones are assured that the mines they work with are as fair as possible, considering the lack of regulation.
